Christian prophecy for the church and for the nations from a servant of God called to speak God’s word

Dumitru Duduman & Michael Boldea Jr’s false prophecies and teachings

I have long been concerned about the prophecies of Dumitru Duduman (author of Through the Fire Without Burning) and Michael Boldea Jr at the ’Hand Of Help’ ministry.  They have not ever sat right with me in terms of ringing true either in their source or their content. I know that in most of Christiandom both these men are very highly regarded. In certain prophecy circles, no prophet is allowed to speak anything that contadicts Duduman, let alone criticise him! Yet when I actually closely examine the content of Duduman’s prophecies, they cause me great concern because of their blatant false teaching as well as their proven falseness.  I would love to say the guy is a true prophet, but I cannot, for he is not.  I see the same errors creaping into his grandson Michael Boldea jr’s writings too.

Here are my thoughts on prophetic accountability:http://endtimespropheticwords.wordpress.com/2007/08/17/the-growth-of-a-prophet-accountability-prophetic-infallibility/   In a nutshell, I say someone in prophetic ministry should be accurate all of the time in predictive and also scriptural matters. This is what the Bible says too. Now while I said in this article that I may personally choose to overlook one or two prophetic misses in other prophets (depending on how far off we are talking about and what the rest of their track record is like), an extra dimension is that both Michael Boldea jr and his grandfather Dumitru Duduman claim to speak with angels in their dreams and visions which leaves very little room for human misunderstanding or any other error. Duduman also claims to have had each dream TWICE.

While I could possibly understand somebody misunderstanding a vision or imagining a dream or vision to be divine when it is not (though I do not excuse it for someone when in prophetic ministry), to claim an angel clearly spoke words to you is a whole new ballgame. Directly spoken words like this heard in such a clear fashion from angels is not something you would mess up. So therefore if ‘your’ claimed angel gets something wrong, proven through the test of time, scripture or of the spirits, then either you are lying about the experience and saw no angel (most likely), have fabricated some of the experience although not all of it and are embellishing it (a lie nonetheless), you are mentally ill, or you are decieved by seducing spirits as the angel is obviously lying to you.

God’s angels NEVER lie or get things wrong. God is never mistaken. Yet Dumitru Duduman was wrong on multiple scores, indicating the angels in his dreams cannot have been who they claimed to be and that he was a false prophet. Duduman claimed that his way of seeing if any of his dreams truly came from God was to pray, ‘Lord if that is from you, let me dream that again.’   Of course, that is not the Biblical test or standard for testing either a spirit or a prophecy, and opens one up to all sorts of error, fantasy and delusions. One also has to question the fact that God and his angels would consistently agree to this. God is the one in control in this sense, not Duduman. Furthermore Duduman claims that he asked questions in the dreams in an interactive type of way. Are we led to believe then, that exactly the same questions were asked in exactly the same way in each dream? This claim alone causes me to doubt the truthfulness of the testimony, as this would just not happen in reality. You’d ask differant questions after thinking or praying on it after the first night, or you’d maybe see things with a slightly differant spin on them, or you’d try and gain more understanding or interact in a slightly differant way with God or the angels the second time around. However, all these facts notwithstanding, these dreams and visions of Dudaman’s could have been tested by any discerning mind against scripture and found to be false  if following the proper biblical standards. Why few people, if any, have done this bemuses me.

There is a lot of troubling false theology in the dreams, and the very number of angels Dudaman also always claimed to see, almost always Gabriel, also raises a red flag in itself against the reliability of the dream’s source and/or the prophet’s integrity. Intentional false prophets often claim they speak to angels in an attempt to gain extra credibility for their visions. Why he also seeks to draw attention to the ‘manifestations’ to garner extra credibility for the visions is also troubling. For example, he makes sure to mention that he was ‘bathed in sweat’ or he ‘was so afraid he could not sleep the rest of the night’ etc, another indicitive of possible intentional fraud, for a true prophet would know that these manifestations were neither here nor there, but to the undiscerning mind it sounds ’spicy’ and ’supernatural’. I do not think God would leave him in such a fearful state like he claims either.

When reading through his numerous visions, I find Dumitru Duduman to be a prophet Daniel ‘copycat’, I believe he generally misunderstands the nature of true prophetic encounters and has created in his own accounts something to fit what he thought Daniel went through, and what he thinks sounds believable and Biblical to others, while mistakenly mixing it up with Joseph’s dreams and visions (which were not interactive like Daniel’s). Yet Duduman made a fundamental flaw in that he misunderstood the interactive element between the dreamer, God and the angels for dreams such as the ones he claimed he experienced; the visionary though in some sort of an altered state would be fully concious and able to respond and would not be in a normal dreamstate. There is also a distinct lack of any kind of intercession in the claimed interactions, which again raises suspicions to their veracity. Because of this misunderstanding, Duduman has made fatal flaws in storyline and logic, indicating his account is untrue, at least in part. He has not told a full and true account of what has happened: he cannot have. He has at best embellished his story and at worst he has outright lied. There are just too many inconsistencies in what he claims.

In terms of the lies in the dreams of factual circumstance:

In one instance the angels allegedly told a sick Dumitru Duduman that he would be healed to preach again for a long time and that when he did eventually die, his ministry would be continued by his wife. (This idea of keeping a ministry in the family is not Biblical in itself, another thing that troubles me about this clan of prophets.)

‘As I was laying in my hospital bed, looking over the faces of my family, three men appeared beside me. One had a globe in his hand, and he began to rotate it and point out certain countries saying: “This is where the destruction will come from.” I don’t remember all the places he pointed to, but I remember I saw Mexico, Cuba, and the Alaskan border. Then one of the men spoke to me; “we fought against death for you. It was a hard fight. Do not fear you will not leave. You still have work to do.” Suddenly, 3 stars appeared behind them. One of them asked; “Do you know what that means?” “No” I answered. “We won’t say exactly, but it probably means that in another 3 years a great massacre will occur.” Then the stars turned into blood, and everything disappeared.’   (Vision of Dumitru Duduman received November 29, 1996)

“I won’t say exactly”  and “It probably means….”  Where in the Bible would you find one of God’s messengers giving a confused message like this?  Either God says something or He does not!  This predicted massacre did not come to pass in either Mexico, Cuba, or the Alaskan border, and despite the angel’s apparent fudging, still have not over eleven years later.

Anyway these predictions given to him regarding his wife taking over the ministry were proven false 4 to 5 months later when his wife died. He  then died several months later, all of this proving that these angels were wrong.

He also gave key dates for a Russia-chinese invasion of the USA and then the end of the world which dates have long since passed. In August 1991 he claimed he saw the back of a book in a vision and counted out 4 remaining blank pages at the end.“When these (pages) are filled,” the angel said, “the book of the Gentiles will be complete. Then I will return to my people.’  (There are some mixed up thoughts there between the angel and the Lord Jesus Christ, indicating the untrustworthiness of the vision.  If it had been Christ appearing as an angel, or as like a son of man, there would have been a lot more awe and wonder on Duduman’s part, there are quite a few cases of similar slips of storyline like this in his other visions, which just would not happen if you are relaying a fully truthful account. (Such slips of logic like this and inconsistencies of fact are normally  indications someone is lying - they have not thought through their story well enough. This is the stuff police detectives look for when testing an alibi.)

In January 1996, in a vision, Duduaman said:

Two men ’opened a great book and said, Do you remember how many pages were left to fill when I showed you last time? Now, there is but one page left. When this is completed, what I have told you will happen …..” The man proceeded to tell me that the time it would take for this page to be filled, would not be longer, but shorter.

The time between these visions is four and a half years, and Dumitru Dudman claims it will be less time than these four and a half years before the end of the time of the Gentiles and the return of Christ. Well, at the time of writing this articles, it is twelve years now, so these visions and their source, are patently false.

In terms of the lies in the dreams regarding scriptural error: As well as the inaccuracy of fact, there is bad theology running through the dreams.A black bird, portraying Satan, tells Duduman: “Power has been given to me to be able to come against the Christians in a short time…. I want to make war against the true Christians - those that serve God with their hearts, their lives, and their actions not only in name. We’ll see if they will be able to stand up against me… We’ll see… I am a warrior. I fight against Christ.”

Note the future  tense. This echos with what his grandson, Michael Boldea jr said recently in his dream of the four horsemen  about Christians needing to take a stand at  the end times.

‘If one word stands out from this entire dream, it is the word ‘prepare’ and we must do so with diligence. The children of God must steel themselves for what is coming, prepare their hearts and settle within their soul that the day in which we will have to stand for truth is soon approaching.’   (Michael Boldea jr)

‘Soon approaching’ - this is obviously very wrong -why? Satan already  comes against the Saints and has done so for centuries - that is why the Bible says the devil prowls round like a roaring lion looking for those he can devour, we must be wary to the devil’s schemes and put on our spiritual armour daily, weild the sword of the word and submit to God, resist the devil and the devil will flee from us. WE ARE ALREADY IN A SPIRITUAL WAR!  However, the devil also makes physical war against the Saints and has done so for many years and has had the power to overcome them through the beast of Rome. History is full of the blood of millions of martyrs, yet according to Duduman and Boldea this war is only future  tense. This is not true.

‘We’ll see if they will be able to stand up against me…’   Christians are not able to stand up against Satan in the flesh, but only by being hidden in Christ Jesus and overcoming via the blood of the lamb and the words of their testimony. I also debate that Satan fights against Christ. He does not, for Christ’s work is finished and Satan is defeated by Christ and has been hurled down from heaven consequently - Satan’s head was crushed by Jesus 2000 years ago. Satan the dragon fights the church  though, and has power to overcome the saints in persecution.

Duduman said: ‘These are the catholic powers which will overtake the holy, that the words prophesied in Revelation may come to pass. A majority of my people will be overtaken and trampled because their lives are not clean before their Lord. Tell this message to them! Do not be quiet! For if you are quiet, I will punish you! The churches are fraudulent (counterfeit, fake). They live a life as their hearts desire, with their hands stained in blood - in adultery, in sodomy, and worshiping strange and foreign gods. Because they have forsaken the true God, He has allowed them to go as their hearts desired. Now, tell them! Cry out loud! Tell them to stop treading the path their hearts desire - to repent with all their hearts, that in the day of the Beast’s anger I may be able to save them, so they would not deny me. The time is very short, and the army of their salvation is already prepared………Look to your right.” When I looked, I saw such a vast army that my eyes could not encompass it. “This is the army I have prepared to save my people from the Beast’s grasp.’

Now this is false. The prophet Daniel says that the Beast will overcome the ‘Holy people’, and the righteous Saints, that he will make war with them and have the power to overcome them. The apostle John says that this time of tribulation calls for ‘great patience and endurance on the part of the Saints’.   The Bible does NOT say that the Saints that are persecuted and martyred or otherwise punished by the evil one’s army are lesser Christians. In fact, it states the opposite. ‘Lesser’ Christians will apostasise and be safe! The martyrs are the faithful ones who loved God more than their own lives and clung to the word.  These martyrs are not saved by a mighty physical army - if only it were so!  Though some Saints still alive shall rejoice at the sight of the Lord appearing in the clouds with his mighty army right at the very end of the tribulation, when they shall be raptured up with him in the air, and then the Beast and the false prophet will be destroyed. Until then, the Overcoming is a spiritual overcoming, not a physical one. There is no divine protection against martyrdom, and never has been since the 1st century (though God does sometimes rescue his Saints in certain circumstances from death). The apostles knew this as did the early Christians who suffered terribly for their faith, thousands being made into flaming torches for sport by the emperor Nero. The Book of Revelation was written against this background - the apostle John had been boiled alive in oil and was now in exile in Patmos. Yet the hope in the book was the Lamb of God who was seated on high. The hope was in the spiritual victory and an eternal kingdom, not a man made one, hence there was no need to raise physical arms. The message was be an overcomer - hold onto your faith til the end despite what the Beast of Rome throws at you and know your reward in heaven will be great. The dignity of the early Christians going to their death was so impressive, sometimes even their executioners were converted and martyred alongside them.

Duduman’s false theology is continued in THE BLACK ARMY vision from May 7, 1993 -

“I am Lucifer!” he exclaimed. “I am the king of this world! I have come to make war against the Christians!”

It looked as though all the Christians were huddled together in one big group. Some began to cry when they heard this. Others began to tremble, while some just stood without saying anything. Lucifer continued to speak. “All of those that want to fight against my army and think they can be victorious; go to the right. Those that fear me; go to the left.”

Only about a quarter of the group stepped to the right. All the others went to the left. Then Lucifer ordered his army, “Destroy those on the right!”

The army began to advance and quickly surrounded the Christians on the right. As they began to close in on us, a powerful light appeared and encircled us. Then, an angel of the Lord spoke. “Take out your swords and fight. Defend yourselves and be victorious over the enemy.”

“What swords?” A man in the group asked.

“The Word of the Lord is your sword,” the angel answered. When we understood what the angel meant, we began to quote verses from the Bible. Then suddenly, as if we were one voice, we began to sing a song. Our voices thundered so loudly, that the Dark army began to retreat in fear. They did not have the courage to come against us anymore.

Lucifer, then filled with rage, turned to those on the left. “You, who all of your life have been trying to please two masters, because you could not stand against me; I have the power to destroy you.”

He then ordered his army to attack. It was a total massacre. The ones on the left could not defend themselves. One by one they all fell. This killing seemed to go on for a long time. After a while we could actually smell the stench of the dead.

“Why could they not be protected also?” someone asked.

The angel answered: “Because all their life they have been lukewarm. Because of their hypocrisy, the true church has been blasphemed. They have brought disrespect to the word of God. They were not clean.”

As we continued to look, we saw the sun coming over the horizon. The black clouds began to break up. Then they disappeared. Only one was left - on which Lucifer and his army stood. Lucifer looked at me shaking his fists and said, “I will destroy you even if I have to throw my spear at you from here!” Then that cloud disappeared too.

As I looked around I began to see faces that I recognized among our group. I saw a pastor from Bellflower - another from Indiana - one from Michigan - as well as many of my American friends. This strengthened me greatly. Then I awoke. The first thought that came to my mind as I awoke was that this had been the last fight of the devil against the church. If we remain faithful, we will be victorious.’

Duduman in A CALL TO WAR vision - September 1993 - says -

“Cease heading the way you have been going and turn to me,” says the Lord. “Lucifer, who is armed for war on his horse, is coming with a powerful army behind him to take vengeance against the children of God. The day is close: a day of terror when Lucifer will try to annihilate all those that live a clean life! A day of pain and terror is near.”

“If you could see what is being prepared and what will happen, you would surely quit doing everything you know in your heart to be wrong, and would seek peace more than ever. Be prepared, be holy, and don’t give in to the temptations and impulses of the enemy. Seek the Lord your God with all your heart. Those who will be clean, those who will be holy, I will not forget. I will save them,” says the Lord. “The armies of the devil are coming with great fury against those who worship Me, and truly seek Me. Pray that I may give you strength, so that before the storm comes I may save you and give you the joy.”

“Those that live in defilement, that meditate upon evil things, will have no escape. They will not have My protection. I will destroy Babylon,” says the Lord, “because of the wickedness and blasphemy of this country. Not only here, but wherever there is sin, I will punish it harshly. Only the righteous will I save; some even out of the midst of the fire.”

So only the ‘bad’ Christians are destroyed by the evil one in the last days then? This disagrees with the Bible. There is a lot of a works-centred theology running through Duduman’s prophecies, indeed self-righteousness, and this theme is sadly consistent.

In the BOOK OF THE GENTILES vision - November 7, 1993 Duduman claims,

‘…another choir of angels appeared which began to sing….“Jesus the Savior, wants to save the people, but not those who have blasphemed, and cursed Him. Only those that have lived a clean life, and have fought for Jesus, without holding on to this life, but giving it all to Christ.”

Jesus, of course, wants to save everyone. Whether they will have it or not is another thing.

In EXAMINE YOUR HEART vision December 9, 1993 - Duduman says -

‘Terror and great pain is coming upon the earth. The devil will take upon himself power, and he will attempt to make war with the holy. But Christ the victorious one will come and will save His people. Proud men; all those who pretend to be teachers, yet never living the life; all those who say they worship Me, yet their hearts are far from Me,” says the Lord, “I will make them part of the suffering, torment, and terror so they will call upon Me. But I will not answer.’

In LETTERS TO THE CHURCHES - March 1994 - Dudman says of the coming of judgement/end of the world and Christ:

The days have been shortened because of all the iniquities. My people, repent, because the days are numbered.”

Yet the Bible says that GOD delays the time of the end, that as many will be saved as possible.  It says the days of the great tribulation will be shortened, for the sake of the saints, but this is another thing entirely.

It can be seen, therefore, there is a lot of bad theology running through the visions, and a lack of intercession from the prophet. The God portrayed in Dudaman’s dreams and visions is a cold and harsh one, who seemingly cannot wait to burn America, destoy the world and all the ‘naughty’ Christians along with them. His God seems to take great delight in saying ‘you’ll burn’. There are crucially no visions of anything beyond the judgment, of the glory of God and His Christ etc or even alternatives if people repent to put the harsh warnings of judgment into perspective. All biblical prophets when warning of impending judgment always called the church and the world to repentence, prayer and activity, and yet I do not see this thread running anywhere in these visions. I do not see a true prophets words because of these reasons too.

I commentated on Michael Boldea’s post on the four horsemen on his blog some time ago, in a short and respectful manner, that I agreed with him that the church was not prepared and we must prepare as great devastation was coming to the earth, but I said that day we must stand for truth was already here today (as it always has been). Too many people look to tomorrow  and ignore the importance of today when antichrist systems are already in place and decieving the masses today.  We do not just stand for truth in the very last days of the end times alone as the final Beasts and Antichrist are revealed but now also. Boldea refused to publish this comment, yet has published other praising comments since. What I wrote was biblical, gentle, respectful and not critical. I question that action for deleting what I wrote, and the reasons for this.

What I did not write then to him, but will say now, is that the symbology in the vision was confused - as the horsemen have been riding for centuries and one is Jesus! An angel would not be confused but a man would, indicating, I think a non angelic source for it. His account of getting the prophecy also did not at all ring true to me.

There are many embellished testimonies I hear on the Christian circuit - (there are so many liars out there! They think they do God’s work by bearing false witness and think what is the harm if it has Jesus name and leads people to him anyway -  ones who lie, ‘I was an ex witch/high priest of satanism/high ranking mason and this is my story’ etc to make a quick buck.  A few claims of testimony from Duduman’s and Boldea’s camp likewise did not ring true to me. (Note this is in additon to prophecies and teachings).

Some of the visions and words contain some truth but then you will get that if using the Bible to prophesy from the flesh it will be a mix. Though Dudman and Michael Boldea jr sometimes speaks truth because he speaks from the Bible, and God can use him just as he can use other false teachers or evangelists or prophets despite their falseness etc, it does not make them true prophets. It really does not matter if they well-intentioned or not.

  1. I’m not familiar with the men you refer to in the post. There are many people out there calling themselves prophets who aren’t.

Who do you like? Who do you believe is accurate and trackin’ with God (as they say in the south)?

  2. Michael Boldea claimed after 9/11, that 911 was God’s final warning. ‘THIS is MY FINAL WARNING…The season is at hand’ he said God said.

Yet this is not biblical. The Book of Revelation reveals warning after warning, in nature with disasters, and with wars and with diseases and signs in the skies, with the sad message that ‘Yet still the people did not repent…’

911 was not God’s final warning has already been proven by worldwide historical events since 2001.

  3. I have read nearly all of Duduman’s prophecies and watched many videos. I have read Boldea’s reports of what angels have showed him. I have never questioned it.

In fact, by the Holy Spirit, we are able to discern false from true.

I recommend to everyone reading the above criticism of Duduman/Boldea read 1 John chapters 4 and 5. In fact, all of the letters of John just before Revelation. Then read at handofhelp website, and then pray for the Lord’s word on it!

  4. I want to encourage “endtimespropheticword” to continue this bold work in encouragement and feeding the sheep. I certainly disagree with you on this point, however.

  5. I did some searching for this prophecy. I found nothing. I also searched for ‘dumitru duduman false prophecy wife’ and found nothing… only your site.

You need to repent of coming against a servant of God, remove this debasement of Duduman and be more careful in the future.

I am carefully observing my spirit in writing this.

  6. Robert: there is next to nothing negative on the internet about these men (that I could find anyway). However the fact that very few people have written an article YET that you can find through a search engine under the key words ‘false prophecy’ does not make what I state inaccurate. You need to put other keywords in to find this information I am basing my article on anyway. The things I quoted from are in his own books where no mention is made re ‘false prophet’ (obviously). The conclusions as to him being a false prophet are mine, based on researching the FACTS and his own words.

Up until recently, when I actually read through his entire book, because everyone else (including legitimate sources) was saying he was a true prophet, even though his words I had read did not sit ‘right’ with me, it did not seem important to ‘call’ him on it. Possibly this is why other watchmen have not YET written on this clan of ‘prophets’ as they take everyone else’s word for it rather than investigating for themselves. However when actually scrutinised there is plenty of evidence that what I speak is the truth.

I do not need to ‘repent’ of anything, the facts I have stated are true and are from his own words that I have not bastardised. Even if we put aside the specific wife and his death prophecy for now, as I stated in the article there are too many other inconsistencies and bad theology scattered liberally through his writings to say the man was a true prophet. He was not just wrong or off about one or two things.

If you want to disagree with my article then state your reasons. Do you agree with his bad theology then? Do you agree with his way of testing the spirits? Do you think angels contradict themselves and get things wrong? Do you think his bad date setting is OK? Do you think his slips in storyline and logic are acceptable and reflect a truthful account - could, indeed, anyone go through a genuine experience such as what he claims to have gone through on dozens of occasions and make such fundamental errors in logic, storyline and theology when relaying their account?

  7. Robert:

    > I have never questioned it.

Why not when the Bible commands us to test everything? You must question everything and weigh it up against scripture. It is because the Corinthians never questioned the super apostles and readily accepted them that the apostle Paul rebuked them. You quote I John, but the apostle John implores us to not just accept anything we see/hear but to ‘test the spirits’. The spirits that appeared to Dudaman (or so he claims) consistently fail the Biblical test!

    > In fact, by the Holy Spirit, we are able to discern false from true.

But this is done through scripture as well as a testing process of the spirits, not just by ‘feelings’ or via spiritual senses. If we could automatically discern via feelings alone, then I John would not implore us to TEST the spirits.

The fact is, Duduman contradicts scripture repeatedly as well as getting things wrong. He has failed the Biblical test for a true prophet. If you spiritually discern what he says he is ‘true’, then respectfully YOU are being led astray by either the flesh or seductive spirits and your discernment is ‘off’, as the Holy Spirit leads to all truth and testifies according to it - He does not lead into error.
